Preparing this tank for sharks and eels involved ReefScaping™ to give them a more streamlined series of rocks to swim and hide within. Sharks, especially, need long runs of space to swim through. The rock work was set specifically to create swim lanes for the sharks, and wide enough for the stingrays to feel comfortable.
After completing the ReefScaping™ and getting it into the new shark and eel tank, we then moved the animals back in from the other tanks, including this 4′ tall hexagonal tank built into the middle of the room. There was only one way to chase down the sharks in that aquarium…
Since we were draining the tank to that extent, the customer asked us to create panels for the inside to hide the center column. Our ReefScaping™ rock work created exactly what they were looking for. These hand-made dead coral display inserts were custom built to fit the customer’s aquarium.
